Centres of Excellence
Melbourne Business School (MBS) has established three innovative Centres of Excellence - The Centre for Business and Public Policy, The Asia-Pacific Centre for Leadership for Social Impact and the Centre for Ideas and The Economy.
The creation of these Centres of Excellence enables MBS to proactively engage with new sectors of industry and society and contribute insights to existing sectors. Each Centre of Excellence has a specific focus area and a goal to build on the strong foundation of knowledge across MBS.
All three Centres bring together progressive thought leaders to focus on key issues affecting the business and community landscape. Specifically, Centres of Excellence output extends to research, case studies, knowledge transfer, program design and delivery innovations, and the facilitation of topical discussion and debate between varied constituencies.

The Centre for Business and Public Policy
The Centre for Business and Public Policy's primary objective is to improve the quality of public policy making in Australia through its activities. Bridging the worlds of business and public policy, the Centre aims to become the pre-eminent forum for discussion and analysis of public policy issues as they affect business, providing a valuable resource for business leaders, policy makers and academics.
The Asia-Pacific Centre for Leadership for Social Impact
The Asia-Pacific Centre for Leadership for Social Impact enables the School to concentrate our efforts on sponsoring greater innovation in leadership program development and delivery. Particularly, the Centre embodies our desire to contribute tangibly and intangibly to our broader community and constituents by working across all sectors and by engaging our alumni, businesses and community partners in our activities in new ways.
The Centre for Ideas and The Economy
Innovative public policy and business practice require the generation, evaluation and dissemination of new ideas/proposals. The Centre for Ideas and The Economy has been established to provide a critical mass of expertise in the areas required to develop these ideas and stimulate their adoption in relevant business or policy circles.
