Philosopher-in-residence Competition for consumer loyalty is about to undergo a dramatic transformation as a result of issues such as climate change and rising oil prices. The great challenges for business enterprise will be to sell the bad news of these rising prices, adapting to long-term changes in consumer behaviour and convincing customers that the business has their long-term interest at heart. To adapt, businesses will need to adopt new marketing strategies which will identify what these interests are.
